Work

The last couple of days I have been helping at Jeff's parents get grapes ready for juicing. It's hard work, but the results are so good! I love homemade grape juice.
I need some advise. Lindsey doesn't like going to school anymore. She keeps playing sick and crying when I drop her off. What do you do as a mom? I made her go today, but it made me so sad to see her cry. Makes me wonder if I'm a mean mom or a good mom.

Ask her teacher how she does after you leave, or if she can help you get her to go without the crying.

Is there anything going on at school that you might not know about? Or is she just sad to be leaving you?

Jess, Scott did the same thing this year. Threw me for a loop because he has always liked school. Come to find out I just had to do the tough love with him. After missing 5 days of school in the first two weeks I started talking to the teacher and office staff. We all worked together but in the end I had to walk him to class for a day or two and then I dropped him off at the curb and watched him walk in for a day or two and then I started dropping him off and just leaving. It killed me because I didn't know what to expect. But he was fine. He would say to me what if I get sick and I need to call home? I told him he couldn't call until after lunch time. I told the office staff the same thing. It worked like a charm. By the time lunch time rolled around he was so wrapped up in his day he totally forgot to call home. Now we have no problems other than the getting out of bed and taking for ever to get ready for school. AHHHHHHH! Pull my hair out every school morning!
